Concerts
UU Concerts is responsible for bringing a variety of concerts to campus. In order to touch upon everyone's interests, UU Concerts coordinates annual large-scale shows such as Juice Jam and Block Party, as well as the Bandersnatch Music Series, which highlights up-and-coming artists. Students who join UU Concerts will learn about securing venues, working with agents, reviewing contracts and all other aspects of producing a successful show. Members also have the opportunity to work during day-of-show productions, gaining valuable experience by doing hands-on work behind the scenes.
University Union will host its seventh annual Juice Jam Festival on Sunday, September 12 from noon-6 pm. Juice Jam 2010 features an eclectic line-up including rapper Lupe Fiasco, synth-pop band Passion Pit, and mashup trio Super Mash Bros. Juice Jam will be held on the Skytop Field Area on South Campus. The music festival is open to SU and SUNY-ESF students, faculty and staff. Juice Jam is coordinated by University Union and co-sponsored by the Division of Student Affairs. Miike Snow with special guest Theophilus London will kick off the first of two concerts in the Spring 2010 Bandersnatch Music Series in the Schine Underground on March 30th. Doors at 7:30 p.m. and music at 8:00 p.m.
